About The Chef
When Kira was little, she came home with her very first recipe. It was the day before Passover. Kira confidently walked into the kitchen, recipe card in hand. Kira rolled up her sleeves, pulled a chair up to the counter, and with a big smile said "I am going to make the salt water to put on the Seder plate!" Kira has been cooking ever since.
Apples and Honey began in the spring of 2006 in Washington, DC, where Kira served more than thirty different clients. Kira and her family have since relocated to Pittsburgh, PA. Kira reopened Apples and Honey in December of 2008. Kira looks forward to cooking in your kitchen and bringing delicious food to your table.
Kira is a member of the American Personal and Private Chef Association and is ServSafe certified. She has certificates in both Culinary Techniques and Pastry Techniques from L'Academie de Cuisine.
